The Enlightened Rebels Coaching/Consulting Team

  • Bill Kearley, DVM, MBA

Bill is the owner of Veterinary Practice Success located in Boise, Idaho. Over the past 20+ years he has served veterinarians across the country who want to raise their practice to the next level by providing business coaching and consulting services for all types of veterinary practices. His primary goal is to work with practice owners and leaders to implement the best business practices that lead to overall practice and personal success.

  • Elise Lacher, CPA

Elise is a recovering social worker and a CPA with Strategic Veterinary Consulting, Inc. She helps veterinarians reframe their mindset so they reconnect with their “Why”. Once this happens, she works with them to help their practices become in alignment with their vision. This includes working with the Six Principles of Next Stage Organizations, improving communication skills and developing the Emotional Intelligence Quotient of the entire team.

  • Rob Trimble, DVM

Rob is a future-focused veterinarian and entrepreneur with a passion for innovating at the intersection of medicine, technology, and organizational design. After graduating in 2013 from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, he worked as a general practitioner on the central coast of California. After a move to the Bay Area, he worked in the animal health technology space, delivering veterinary housecalls for VetPronto, a pet tech startup based in San Francisco. In 2016, he co-founded Fuzzy Pet Health, a subscription-based, veterinary house call company that was built upon a virtual care and telemedicine platform. From 2018 through 2021, he served as the Executive Director for the Veterinary Entrepreneurship Academy, a nonprofit organization that’s on a mission to accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship from within the veterinary profession, starting with veterinary students. Most recently, he joined Suveto as the VP of Harbor, where he continues to build positive, healthy communities and educational pathways that attract and inspire veterinarians to take ownership of their futures.

  • Jeff Thoren, DVM, PCC, BCC

Jeff is the founder of Gifted Leaders, LLC, an established leadership and team coaching company based in Phoenix, AZ. He’s also the Clinical Assistant Professor of Veterinary Communication at Midwestern University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Jeff is committed to building engaging and innovative workplace cultures. He understands the mindset required to effectively lead and influence others in a business environment that is increasingly uncertain, complex, and ambiguous. His goal is to accelerate the shift from traditional hierarchical leadership (where a few leaders at the top exert control) to collective leadership (where leadership emerges as a collective capacity from everyone). Jeff is an ICF-credentialed (PCC) and Board Certified Coach.

  • Peg Thoren, M.Ed., ACC, BCC

Peg is a Team and Leadership Coach with Gifted Leaders, LLC. She coaches and consults with companies in the areas of enhancing positive team dynamics, increasing essential communication, identifying individuals’ gifts and strengths, and building positive work cultures. As a Program Supervisor in the healthcare field, Peg transformed her staff into a highly effective and productive team. She has had success creating positive work environments while working within small to medium sized companies as well as large bureaucratic systems. Peg has a M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology & Career Development from the University of Missouri. She is an ICF-credentialed and Board Certified Coach and received her coach training through the Adler School of Professional Coaching.

Initiated by Jeff Thoren, DVM in 2016, a group of VetPartners members began a dialogue inspired by their shared reading of Frederic Laloux’s book, Reinventing Organizations.

Wondering what Laloux’s principles might look like in a veterinary practice context, they developed and delivered several workshops on the topic of Next-Stage Veterinary Practice Management & Leadership.
